‘Selfie with Democracy’ nominated at US filmfest

Iranian film ‘Selfie with Democracy’ has been nominated at the 2020 edition of the Southeast Regional Film Festival in the US.

The film has been nominated for the Best Film Award of the US event.

Produced and directed by Ali Atshani, ‘Selfie with Democracy’ is a movie about war veterans and martyrs of 8 years of US-backed war on Iran known as the Sacred Defense.

Kourosh Tahami, Sima Tirandaz, Amir-Abbas Golab, Qasem Zare, Poulad Kimiaee, Mehran Rajabi, Pejman Bazeghi and Atila Pesyani make the cast members of Atshani’s latest production.

The Southern Regional festival creates a space for the attendees to learn, watch great films, meet the stars and attend workshops.

The 2020 edition of the festival is slated for May 31.
